ImageGood Afternoon! Today lets talk about food. I was approached by a coworker that stated she would probably never lose weight because she liked flavorful food and hated dieting. Can I just say I hate dieting too! Take the word diet out of your vocabulary. This cant be a diet it has to be a way of life number one. Secondly you do not have to give up tasty flavorful foods to lose weight. That is right you DO NOT have to give up flavorful foods to lose weight. Today I am going to give you a recipe that is full of rich flavor and spices and full of protein. There are plenty of recipes out there that are very good full flavor foods that are healthy, its all about choices. Stay way from white breads, pasta, rice, and sugar, don’t even touch them. Limit but don’t completely cut out complex carb such as beans and lentils, still have them but in limited amounts. If you desire breads and pasta, even rice just do it wisely, pick whole grain breads and pasta and brown rice over the white versions. Flavorful foods can still be on your weight loss plan, just choose wisely and make healthy choices. Tomorrow night try this super easy flavorful chicken meal. You make it in your crock pot, its full of flavor, low in fat and carbs and takes almost no effort to make. Take 2 lbs of chicken breast, 1 envelope of taco seasoning, 1 can of low sodium black beans, 1/2 cup each of onion, carrots, and celery, top with 1 can of low sodium organic petit diced tomatoes, and 1 jar of your favorite salsa, let it cook on low for 8 hours or high for 6 hours, at the end add 3 tablespoons of low fat sour cream and top with low fat cheddar cheese. Enjoy. You can also shred the chicken and put it on low fat whole wheat tortillas. You do not have to give up foods you love to lose the weight you want to. Be smart and think outside the box when cooking, use plenty of spices and seasonings to make food satisfying and flavorful. If I can do it you can too. Get fit, workout, and eat healthy.
